EIFL in Angola

From 2014 to 2016 EIFL partnered with Angola’s network of media libraries, ReMA, on the creation of a national consortium.

In 2025 EIFL awarded grants to two projects -

  • Associação Multidiscipinar de Investigaçao Cientifica, to strengthen editorial and technical capacity of the Revista Angolana de Ciências (Angolan Journal of Sciences), to build partnerships and to build capacity to publish articles in English in order to broaden the journal’s reach in Africa and other parts of the world.
  • Universidade Óscar Ribas, to strengthen the quality and visibility of its journal, SAPIENTIAE, and expand its reach.

The grants were among 33 awarded in 2024 and 2025 through a three-year project to strengthen no-fee open access publishing in Africa.
