The legal basis for processing your data is your consent, which you provide by subscribing to our email newsletter. We will not be able to inform you about our work and programmes if you do not provide your personal data.

When you subscribe to email newsletters, your contact details will be added to the mailing list, which ensures that you to stay up to date with EIFL’s work. When you subscribe to a programme-specific list, you will receive updates / information from that programme.

We use G Suite Groups to manage our mailing lists. You may access and change the information you provide or your preferences at any time. The information you provide will be stored on EIFL’s server and will not be passed on for use outside of EIFL.

You can unsubscribe or withdraw your consent to these communications at any time, either by clicking the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the e-mail, or by sending an email to info@eifl.net.

How we use this information

Your personal data will be used by EIFL only to communicate the newsletter or programme specific updates in order for you to stay up to-date with EIFL’s work.

How long will EIFL store my information?

The personal data you provide will be kept in our database for as long as you wish to receive communications from EIFL. In any case we will not process and store your personal data for this purpose for longer than five years.

You have the right to be told what personal data we hold about you on our databases and ask for it to be removed.

How will EIFL keep my information secure?

We will take reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or unauthorized alteration of the information that you provide us with through the website.

Communications from us in connection with the website may be sent to you by email. Email is not a fully secure means of communication and we cannot guarantee our emails are free from viruses and other harmful effects, although we do our best to make them as secure as possible.
