BACKGROUND

This training follows a similar EIFL Open Science Bootcamp organized by EIFL in January/February 2023, in which 84 trainers from 24 took part.

Enhancing open science and open research skills by organizing ‘train-the-trainer’ activities, creating training materials, and advocating for research incentives and structures that support and promote the acquisition of open science and open research skills, are among EIFL’s strategic goals

Open science is an approach that makes research processes and data open and transparent at all stages, from planning to dissemination of results, and which encourages collaboration among researchers. Growing numbers of researchers, research institutions and research funders have recognized the importance of open science in promoting responsible research and innovation. By building a cohort of open science trainers, we aim to boost adoption of open science practices in our partner countries.
