The webinar will feature presentations by two past African winners of an EIFL Public Library Innovation Award, and a Q&A about the new call.

Ramune Petuchovaite, Manager of the EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme (EIFL-PLIP),  will give a presentation about the awards and explain the submission rules and requirements for the new call. The webinar will also showcase two inspiring winners of past awards:

• Kaltuma Sama of the Kenya National Library Service (KNLS) will present  KNLS Buruburu branch library’s mobile digital reading programme, which won an innovation award in 2014 for 'Creative Use of ICT'.
• Jeff Nyoka of the City of Johannesburg Libraries in South Africa will talk about how they won the 2020 award for their innovative Facebook lockdown video series that kept library services open to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The webinar is organized by the African Library & Information Associations and Institutions (AfLIA) and EIFL-PLIP.
