This webinar is on NewGenLib (aka NGL), an open-source integrated library management system. The software is entirely Java-based, runs on Windows or Linux and is designed to work equally well in one single library as it does across a dispersed network of libraries.

  • NGL comprises many open source components, chief among which are Apache Tomcat, PostgreSQL Database and the well-known search engine SOLR.
  • International library metadata standards are fully supported - NGL has been implemented in over 30 countries and in at least 4 different languages. NewGenLib is licensed under the GNU version 3. It supports MARC21, OAI-PMH and z39.50.

Presentations are given by Mr Siddartha from Verus Solutions, and includes a case study from Dr Sunil and Mr Haravu of Shri Dharmsthala Manjunatheshwara, Institute for Management Development, India.
