Academic Integrity is one of the topics included in the EIFL Digital Research Training Programme Outline for Librarians. In this webinar (1 hour 9 minutes) Milica Ševkušić, of the Institute of Technical Sciences of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts and EIFL Open Access Programme Coordinator in Serbia, shares her approaches to training researchers and students about the importance of academic integrity throughout the research lifecycle. 

Content covered includes: 

  • Definitions and the legal framework -  good practices on data collection, data interpretation and publishing. 
  • Writing - quotation, citations, references, citation styles, crediting images, finding images under free licences and obtaining permission to reuse images. 
  • Addressing misconduct - falsification, fabrication, questionable research practices, plagiarism, consequences of unethical practices and actions against misconduct. 
  • Training tips -  methods, formats and tools, stressing modularity and scalability in training.
