EIFL has renewed its agreement with scite for a further three years, starting on 1 January 2024.
scite provides a tool which offers quantitative and qualitative information about how scientific publications cite each other.
Users of the tool can find out how many times a scientific publication was cited, and how it was cited by others by displaying the text where the citation happened from each citing paper.
Users can also discover whether each citation provides supporting or contrasting evidence for the cited claim, and see if cited papers have been retracted or have other editorial notices.
University and library staff can use the tool to see how articles from their institution have been cited.
