Following the publication of the landmark ‘Open Access Diamond Journals Study’ in March 2021, Science Europe, in collaboration with cOAlition S, OPERAS and the French National Research Agency (ANR), is organizing a workshop to discuss best practices and to further develop the central elements of Diamond (collaborative, non-commercial) Open Access, namely, efficiency, quality standards, capacity building, and sustainability. The event is sponsored by the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.

Iryna Kuchma, EIFL Open Access Programme Manager, has been invited to participate in this workshop. 

The workshop will result in the adoption of an ‘Action plan for Diamond Open Access to research publications’. This document will be presented at the ‘Open Science European Conference’ (4-5 February 2022) organized by the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
