EIFL has renewed its agreement with Cambridge University Press for access to and publishing in open access in Cambridge University Press journals for a further year, until December 2022.
Free read access
Through the agreement, libraries in 11 EIFL countries can get free access to the Cambridge University Press Journals Collection of 406 titles:
Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Kosovo, Laos, Lesotho, Malawi, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Senegal, Sudan
Discounted read access
Libraries in another 11 countries are eligible for discounted access to the Cambridge University Press Journals Collection:
Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Fiji, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, North Macedonia, Namibia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Zimbabwe
Read & publish
The renewed agreement for 2022 also includes read & publish offers for institutions and/or consortia in - Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Botswana, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Namibia, North Macedonia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
This means that if the consortium takes up the offer to pay a combined fee for accessing content and publishing, then authors from these countries will be able to publish their articles in open access free of charge in 45 fully open access as well as 341 hybrid journals.
Consortia in Estonia, Fiji, Ghana, Latvia, Lithuania, Palestine and Moldova have already signed a read & publish agreement with Cambridge University Press for 2021, and we expect that they will renew their agreements for 2022.
Waived Article Processing Charges (APCs)
The agreement also ensures waived APCs for corresponding authors from 18 EIFL partner countries when publishing in 45 Cambridge University Press fully open access journals:

Corresponding authors from 13 EIFL countries are also eligible to receive a 50% discount on APCs when publishing in 45 Cambridge University Press fully open access journals:
