CC licences work to a ‘Some rights reserved’ rule, instead of an ‘All rights reserved’ rule. CC offers a diverse set of license conditions that allow authors to define rules for sharing their creations with others, and at the same time, users gain more rights for use of works. It is important for librarians, lecturers, researchers and students to understand how to use CC licences in the contexts of teaching and learning.
