American University’ Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property, Knowledge Ecology International and the Access to Knowledge Coalition have organized a technical briefing on the legal and policy issues at stake in the 43rd meeting of the World Intellectual Property Organization’s Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (WIPO SCCR 43).

The SCCR meeting takes place on 13 - 17 March, 2023. Major issues on the agenda include consideration of the Second Revised Draft Text for the WIPO Broadcasting Organizations Treaty, the Proposal by the African Group for a Draft Work Program on Exceptions and Limitations, and a Toolkit on Preservation by Cultural Heritage Institutions

Representatives of accredited public interest observers of the SCCR will provide analysis of the WIPO SCCR 43 agenda. Speakers and topics -
