Webinar: Join this LIBSENSE webinar hosted by EIFL about good practices in using Open Journal Systems software (OJS) 3 and establishing an open access scholarly journal. OJS is an open source software application for managing and publishing scholarly journals. Originally developed and released by PKP in 2001 to improve access to research, it is the most widely used open source journal publishing platform in existence, with over 10,000 journals using it worldwide.

Jill Claassen, the section manager of scholarly communication and research at the University of Cape Town (UCT) Libraries, and Lena Nyahodza, the scholarly communication and publishing librarian at UCT, will talk about publishing guidelines in establishing scholarly journals and demonstrate the management role in the configuration of the scholarly journals. Bessem Aamira, Ingénieur en Informatique, CNUDST, share CNUDST experiences of using OJS and will also provide good practice advice. Bessem will be speaking in French.
