Public and community librarians in Africa are invited to join a Virtual Learning Circle to learn how to demonstrate the success and value to the community of their library programmes and services through measuring outcomes, rather than relying on the standard data on library performance (such as collections, book loans, registered users and visits).
The Virtual Learning Circle will be led by Ugne Lipeikaite, EIFL Public Library Programme (EIFL-PLIP) Impact Manager. The session will draw on the EIFL-PLIP Small Bites video, ‘Outcomes of library programmes and services’, and include practical examples of how to identify and measure outcomes across different areas of library work, including reading and literacy, digital skills, health, education, business support, and more. Participants will also take part in a practical exercise to identify outcomes and ways of measuring them.
Date and time: Thursday, 15 October 2026, 14.30 - 15:30 (UTC+2). Check your local time here.
Registration: Please register here.
