Malamine Diouf, President of the Consortium of Higher Educational Libraries of Senegal (COBESS) presented the campaign for ratification of the Marrakesh Treaty for persons with print disabilities during a poster session at the EIFL General Assembly held in Istanbul in November 2014. COBESS is leading the campaign for ratification of the treaty in partnership with Amitiés des Aveugles du Sénégal (AAS), and Sightsavers West African Regional Office, Senegal. The aim is to ensure that libraries play a key role in the development of implementing national copyright legislation, and to achieve the most favourable result for persons with print disabilities in Senegal.
