EIFL will give a presentation at a high-level international forum, ‘Cycle of conversations on copyright and the international agenda’, to address current copyright challenges in relation to cultural, social and educational rights.
The forum is organized by Corporación Innovarte, in collaboration with the Mexican Ministry of Culture through the National Institute of Copyright of Mexico (INDAUTOR), the American University Washington College of Law (AUWCL) and the Tlaxcalteca Institute of Culture (ITC). The forum is in Spanisn and English, and is open to the public . It will take place online over two half-days:

The purpose of the forum is to comprehensively address the challenges posed by copyright in relation to access to education and knowledge. The first day will focus on copyright and COVID-19, including emergency options available to governments under national and international law. The second day will feature digital and remote uses for research and education from an international, regional and national Mexican perspective. Teresa Hackett, EIFL Copyright and Libraries Programme Manager, will address the topic, 'Research and education rights in international copyright' on the second day. See the programme here.
