EIFL signs new agreement with De Gruyter

EIFL’s new agreement with the academic publisher De Gruyter offers authors from EIFL partner countries the option of publishing their articles in open access for free or at discounted Article Processing Charges (APCs) in De Gruyter’s over 440 fully open access and hybrid journals. 

The agreement, which is valid until December 2021, also provides free and discounted access to De Gruyter journals.

Free or discounted APCs

Authors from 37 EIFL partner countries can publish their articles in open access for free or at discounted APC rates in De Gruyter’s over 440 fully open access and hybrid journals. Eligibility is as follows:

Waived APCs for authors from: Cambodia, Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Ethiopia, Georgia, Ghana, Kenya, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lesotho, Malawi, Maldives, Moldova, Myanmar, Nepal, North Macedonia, Palestine, Senegal, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

Discounted APCs for authors from: Armenia, Belarus, Botswana, Estonia, Fiji, Latvia, Lithuania, Namibia, Serbia, Slovenia, Thailand.

Free or discounted access to De Gruyter journals and LIS e-books

The agreement covers free and discounted access to the De Gruyter Journals Collection of over 210 journals and the De Gruyter Library & Information Science E-book Collection of over 30 titles. Eligibility is as follows:

Free access to the De Gruyter Journals Collection and the De Gruyter Library & Information Science E-book Collection for institutions in: Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Laos, Myanmar, Senegal, Sudan.

Discounted access to the De Gruyter Journals Collection and the De Gruyter Library & Information Science E-book Collection for institutions in: Armenia, Belarus, Fiji, Georgia, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Moldova, Nepal, North Macedonia.
