DONATE TO EIFL
Season’s greetings from the EIFL team! As 2025 draws to a close, we bring you news about 16 new grants awarded in the second call for proposals for projects to strengthen no-fee open access publishing in Africa, and share results from two journals that were awarded grants in the first call. We’ve been in Geneva, joining in advocacy at WIPO for the adoption of modern copyright laws that maximize access to knowledge. We've produced two training videos for public librarians on writing project reports for donors, and compiled selections of resources to help editors and publishers of scholarly journals to work with generative AI and make good use of Open Journal Systems. And we’ve signed three agreements with publishers that will benefit many thousands of scholars in our partner countries. See our events, past, present and future. Enjoy the issue and see you in the New Year.
