This project created two e-health corners with free internet access and health literature in branch libraries in Kisumu and Eldoret, towns facing health issues including high levels of HIV/AIDS and malaria. In just one year (2010/11), librarians trained over 1,600 health workers, students and members of the public to use ICT to access online health resources. The two branch libraries are now recognized as vital links in the chain of health information provision.

The project was initiated with support from the EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme (EIFL-PLIP) in 2010. This two-page case study is based on impact assessment conducted by the library in 2011.
