Uganda Community Libraries Association (UgCLA) worked with five community libraries to provide teenagers living in rural communities with essential sexual and nutritional health information through Health, Reading and Computer Training Camps

The project increased computer skills and health knowledge of 103 teenagers in the five communities; strengthened partnerships between community libraries, health centres and schools, and led to the creation of Youth Leadership Groups. The leadership groups attracted over 300 young people from 17 schools, who now meet regularly to read about and discuss health issues, improve their computer skills. Group members are now spreading health information in their communities.
