Nineteen public librarians will attend a two-day training-of-trainers workshop organized by EIFL and Kenya National Library Service (KNLS). Training will be conducted by EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme Capacity Building Manager Susan Schnuer.

This is the first in a series of workshops that will build knowledge and training skills of corps of trainers within the KNLS network, with the aim of strengthening continued professional development of public librarians in Kenya. KNLS, which is partnering with EIFL in this initiative, manages a network of over 60 public libraries across Kenya. 

The training-of-trainers is a new phase of EIFL's broader capacity building initiative for public librarians in Kenya. The 19 trainees will train other public librarians in Kenya on topics covered by the EIFL capacity building initiative.
